Performance™ 14% Pellet

Horse Feed

Horse / Arizona Feeds / Feed / Performance 14% Pellet

Performance 14% Pellet

This feed is designed for working, breeding, mares, foals, and maintenance horses.

Feeding Directions:

  • Performance 14% is specifically designed to be fed in conjunction with grass hay. Formulated in the Southwest for Southwest horses, Performance 14% contains superior levels of the vitamins and minerals that can be lacking in forage grass.
  • When beginning a new feeding program, all feed changes should be done gradually over a 7 to 10 day period. Feed changes should not be greater than 1 pound per day.
  • Feed your horse at regular intervals at least twice daily, with three times preferred.
  • Horses should eat in a natural position. Feed from troughs with large bottoms placed at head high or lower.
  • Always have a minimum of 1% of the horse's body weight fed as a good quality forage. Salt and water should be continuously available in a clean area.
  • Store fed in a dry, well ventilated area. Do not feed moldy or insect infested feed to animals.
  • Consult your veterinarian for preventive health program. Maintain regular worming and vaccination programs.
  • During periods of cold weather, the amount of feed may need to be increased by 10-15% to offset increased heat loss.
  • If feeding a horse in training, do not feed when the horse is hot, excited, showing pain, fever, or diarrhea.
